What is team coaching?
The benefits of team coaching
Awareness – our team coach sees first-hand the process of the team’s dynamics, culture and delivery either through observation or psychometric assessments. The team coach uses these observations to raise awareness within the team, to encourage discussion and create transformation.
Accountability – our team coach supports the group in agreeing their own steps for change and ways in which they can hold themselves accountable. The fact that the coach has no agenda and is unattached to specific outcomes allows them to play the role of critical friend and challenge on progress in a non-judgemental way.
Team cohesion – as the team coach creates shared understanding of each other and unifies energies towards shared goals. This is the foundation for strong team work and gives individuals confidence to take risks in knowing that there is backing from the team.
Well-being – the team members increasingly rely on each other’s input, commitment and engagement. Increasing the team’s awareness of each other’s skills, preferences and needs can enhance support and empathy within the team, increasing well-being.
Transformation – in working through the team’s purpose, increasing awareness of strengths and weaknesses and creating accountability the team coach creates the motivation and framework for purposeful change.
